Karen Ellsworth leads Mountainview Retirement Centre with compassion, dedication, and a deep understanding of seniors care. Her love for seniors began at an early age, when she cared for her grandmother and volunteered at her local hospital - experiences that inspired her lifelong passion for helping others.
Karen began her career over 11 years ago as a Personal Care Assistant, ensuring residents’ comfort and well-being were always top priorities. She later became Director of Care, where she supported residents’ health needs with care and professionalism.
Today, as General Manager, Karen continues to create a warm, welcoming environment where residents feel safe, valued, and at home. Her hands-on experience and heartfelt leadership make Mountainview Retirement Centre a place where both residents and staff truly thrive.
Tracy Hollett - Kitchen Manager
With over 25 years of experience in the culinary field, Tracy Hollett brings passion, dedication, and heart to her role as Kitchen Manager at Mountainview Retirement Centre. Tracy believes that food is about more than just nourishment—it’s about comfort, community, and connection.
Every day, Tracy works closely with her team to create meals that are both delicious and thoughtfully prepared, ensuring that residents enjoy a dining experience that feels just like home. She loves engaging with residents, listening to their stories, and incorporating their favorite dishes into the menu whenever she can.
Tracy’s favorite part of her work is the relationships she’s built at Mountainview—seeing familiar smiles in the dining room and knowing that every meal helps make someone’s day a little brighter.
Ana Huespe, LPN - Director of Care
Ana is an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse and Director of Care with 38 years of dedicated service in the healthcare field. A proud graduate of Vancouver Community College in British Columbia, Ana has built her career around her lifelong passion for geriatrics, providing compassionate, person-centered care to older adults and supporting their dignity, comfort, and quality of life.
Throughout her career, she has earned a strong reputation for delivering exceptional care, leading supportive teams, and fostering positive, efficient work environments. Now serving as Director of Care at Mountainview Retirement Centre in Newfoundland, Ana continues to champion excellence in senior care through empathy, mentorship, and dedicated leadership.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and caring for her 14-year-old dog, finding balance and joy in life’s simple, meaningful moments.
